A lover of languages, Thom became aware of the impact his travelling to and from Europe was causing during his time at university. This led to other changes such as buying more local products and increasing his use of public transport in order to help offset his carbon.

In his spare time, he’s a performer of amateur dramatics as well as a reader of foreign literature.
