Celebrating 5 Incredible Years

2021 Street‑Tree Sponsorship

One early favourite was in 2021, when we helped restore a much-loved avenue of trees in Northampton. Teaming up with a passionate local community group, we raised £2,500 to plant the trees that now line the street, bringing shade, beauty, and biodiversity back to the neighbourhood.

The NED Vault Event

We’ve hosted some wonderful events, but Earth Day 2023 at The Ned Hotel was truly special. In partnership with their private members’ club, we gathered supporters in the iconic Vault for an inspiring evening highlighting the importance of tree planting projects whilst enjoying a drink – or two!

Growing Our Team

Though Demi and I are the founders of The Greener Earth Project, we wouldn’t have been able to reach this milestone without the help of so many dedicated volunteers. Our team has gone from strength to strength, and today we have 10 trustees and 10 volunteers who all give their time, energy and passion. Though we’re spread across the UK, we’re united by a single vision: a greener, more hopeful future.

Growing Our Supporters

Of course, it isn’t just our volunteers who are helping to make a greener earth a reality; we wouldn’t be here today without the generous support of our business and individual partners. Our incredible 21 business partners (many of them new this year!), and our community of individual supporters are what allows us to continue to expand. Every sapling we plant is thanks to someone who believes in what we’re doing and we’re so grateful to everyone who shares our vision and supports our work.

The Next Five Years

One of the most exciting things about reaching such a milestone is that it helps us to think about what the next five years might bring. We have so many new goals that we’re aiming for, like breaking our record for planting the most trees in a single year, which currently stands at 39,000 trees, which we planted in 2023. So watch this space! Because we’re not giving up on our dream of planting one million trees, and we can’t wait to see what the next 5 years brings.
